Opening Up & Letting Go James Tomarelli's Comments Personal Experiences
In 2002, after thirty-five years of study and professional work as a therapist, trainer, and teacher, I began the Gurdjieff Dance and Inner Exercise Work with James Tomarelli—and for me a unifying process began in my personal life and professional work. In the seminars in which I participated and in the ongoing group-work with others under James' direction, I learned to discover the difference between what is partial (subjective) in the body and what is whole (objective). I began to be able to observe the whole consciously, to distinguish for myself the difference between feeling, thought, and action, and to discover how mind and attention can rightly re-integrate these vital human centers back to wholeness. — Fosco Matteini, physiotherapist, Method Mézières, certified Antiginnastica trainer and practitioner "I have been a health professional accompanying individuals and groups in listening to their bodies and facilitating body-mind activities with them for twenty years, and only since I began this work in 2003 with James Tomarelli have I been able to say: 'Ah! This is what it is!' And, I am certain, there is much more to understand." "Ever since I began practicing (in 2007) the Dances and Meditations of GI Gurdjieff and JG Bennett with James Tomarelli, something in me has relaxed and opened—and my awareness of others and myself has shifted: everything is now more clear, more real. My professional practice and my day-to-day life are no longer what they were before."
